A 150-hour DOT-approved EMT Basic Provider class that teaches students the knowledge and skills to provide basic emergency medical assistance, including use of emergency medical equipment such as suction mounts, neck immobilizers and splints. Course includes textbook, CPR certification and CPR face shield.

Individuals who complete this course will receive a Skill Set from Mountwest Community & Technical College and will be eligible for the National Registry of EMT's Exam. The program prepares students to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients.

The full training will last eight days; seven days of instruction and hands-on training and one day of review and testing.

Students receive comprehensive education in cardiology, respiratory, pharmacology, neurological, endocrinology, obstetrics & gynecologic emergencies and traumatic injuries, with clinical rotations and high-fidelity simulation training.
