The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician has the knowledge associated with, and is expected to be competent in, all the skills of the EMR and EMT. Advanced Emergency Medical Technician training is a combination of classroom instruction (didactic and psychomotor) and numerous areas of clinical experience. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to sit for the National Registry written and practical examinations.

This program prepares you to earn your AEMT Certificate. EMT graduates traditionally proceed to the AEMT certificate. AEMT students can complete the program in one semester. Both EMT and AEMT have many hours of Lab as well as Clinical experience obtained in the field with currently licensed EMTs and Paramedics.

Includes 63 hours of lecture, 52 hours of labs, 48 hours of emergency room clinicals, and 80 hours of EMS clinicals. Classes meet on a rotating schedule aligned with a 24-hour on/48-hour off EMT schedule.
