The UAMCTM EMT-Basic Program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and clinical experience required to provide safe and effective prehospital care. The program integrates classroom, laboratory, and applied clinical practice following the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards. The program works with local ambulance services and hospitals to provide medical and trauma training in prehospital settings, emergency departments, and specialty rotations. Successful graduates are eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification examination and apply for licensure through the State of Arkansas.
