The one-semester, 8.5 unit Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program prepares students for EMT certification in California. It provides training in basic life support emergency care crucial for ambulance work and most fire departments, and serves as a prerequisite for paramedic training. The program includes both lectures and clinical experiences, culminating in eligibility to attempt the National Registry EMT Basic Exam.
