A one-semester program delivered through classroom instruction, hands-on lab instruction, and clinical experience. Students learn basic life support skills including patient assessment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, treatment of burns, splinting of fractures, dressing and bandaging wounds, and oxygen therapy. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the National Registry's written and practical examinations and the State of Tennessee EMT license.
