A 200-hour basic level course required to become an Emergency Medical Technician that prepares students to take the NCOEMS or National Registry examination. Topics covered include basic pre-hospital emergency care such as treatment for shock, bleeding, burns, poisonings, childbirth, pediatric emergencies, CPR, use of ambulance equipment and communications to the emergency department.
