Geared to prepare students for emergencies, the EMT-Basic course covers controlling life-threatening bleeding, providing basic cardiac life support, maintaining airways, and administering medications. Students engage in realistic scenarios and intensive field internships to build confidence for real-world emergencies. Graduates qualify to sit for the National Registry certification exam and become licensed EMT-B in Illinois.
