Geared to prepare students for emergencies, the EMT-Basic course covers controlling life-threatening bleeding, providing basic cardiac life support, maintaining airways, and administering medications. Students engage in realistic scenarios and intensive field internships to build confidence for real-world emergencies. Graduates qualify to sit for the National Registry certification exam and become licensed EMT-B in Illinois.

Comprised of didactic, clinical, and field internship components, students learn advanced life support and gain field experience. Upon completion, students are eligible for National Registry exams and Illinois Department Health certification, growing professionally in prehospital care settings.
