This program offers comprehensive training in recognizing acute physiological changes, accommodating patients from neonates to geriatrics out-of-hospital. Comprised of didactic, clinical, and field internship components, students learn advanced life support and gain field experience. Upon completion, students are eligible for National Registry exams and Illinois Department Health certification, growing professionally in prehospital care settings.

A hybrid course for registered nurses trained to function in a pre-hospital emergency capacity. The majority of didactic coursework is completed online with 7 in-person class days. Students complete 8 endotracheal intubations on live patients and a minimum of 10 ALS calls in field internship.
