Firefighter I Training Programs in Ohio

The Fire Training Academy educates and provides training for cadets and firefighters, ensuring excellence and high safety standards. This entry-level certification prepares you for part-time employment with a fire department, especially when combined with EMT certification. Designed to train for entry-level positions in fire service, this 300-hour program covers Hazmat and Emergency Vehicle Operations courses. The program also includes accelerated summer sessions for full-time, intensive training.

The Firefighter I & II Day Program covers fundamental skills in firefighting, vehicle extrication, and fire management. Participants train in a controlled burn setting to enhance practical experience. Upon completion, students can pursue an EMT program for further qualification in fire services.

The program fulfills NFPA 1001 standards and prepares students to pass state certification tests.
