The Emergency Medical Response course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize symptoms of illness and injury and to provide emergency first aid care. Students perform hands-on skills aligned with the Ohio Emergency Medical Responder scope of practice and may observe or assist under direct supervision of certified EMS professionals during clinical or ride-along experiences. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Registry Cognitive and Practical Skills exam.
