Emergency Medical Technician

EMT certification is the gateway to working in EMS, fire service, and hospital environments. The course covers patient assessment, trauma care, and emergency procedures, qualifying you for support roles in fire departments or private ambulance services. Also provides clinical experience and prepares students for paramedic training.

Firefighter I

This entry-level certification prepares you for part-time employment with a fire department, especially when combined with EMT certification. Students will earn BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations (Hazmat), and Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC). Physical fitness and training are integrated into the curriculum to ensure readiness.

Firefighter II

Required for full-time firefighter employment in Ohio, this course builds on Firefighter I and provides deeper operational knowledge and high-risk scenario training. It is essential for those pursuing roles that demand greater responsibility. Also includes leadership skill development necessary for advancement in the firefighting profession.
