Virginia Beach EMS holds regular emergency medical technician (EMT) academies to train future volunteers to serve the Virginia Beach community and support the volunteer rescue system. The Training Division is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and conducting various emergency medical programs of study for EMS members, public safety officers, hospital personnel, and the general public.
