University of Washington Paramedic Training Program

The University of Washington Paramedic Training Program, located at Harborview Medical Center, is one of the oldest and most successful paramedic training programs in the country. Founded in 1969, it offers a 10-month competency-based paramedic training program with classroom instruction, clinical rotations, and field practicums on Medic One vehicles.

A 10-month competency-based paramedic training program consisting of approximately 2500 hours. Includes classroom lectures, labs, clinical rotations at Harborview Medical Center and affiliated hospitals, and field practicums on Medic One vehicles. Students must be employed by a fire department or EMS agency and are fully funded by the Medic One Foundation.
