University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville
The USC School of Medicine Greenville was the first school in the country to integrate EMT training and certification into its first-year medical curriculum. EMT training takes students behind the scenes to get a first-hand look at many of the challenges and issues in health care delivery. Once certified, students work as an EMT for 12 hours per month with teams on ambulances and in the emergency department.
