An 8-credit-hour certificate program providing an introductory course in emergency medical service systems and the basic principles of emergency care. Through didactic and clinical instruction, students gain critical knowledge in emergency medical care, patient assessment, trauma response, and life-saving interventions. Students are prepared for the National Registry EMT-Basic written and practical examinations.
