Provides training for Advanced Emergency Medical Training (AEMT) using invasive procedures such as IV therapy, the use of advanced airway devices, medication administration and cardiac monitoring. Individuals who complete the course are eligible to take the National Registry AEMT exam.

A comprehensive degree program that prepares students for employment in the fire service and other emergency services organizations. Provides entry-level knowledge and skills for students planning a career in emergency services as well as career advancement and professional development for current firefighters and EMTs. Minimum 60 credits required.

Provides basic training in emergency medical response, victim assessment, recognition and treatment of medical emergencies and other basic life support procedures. Students who complete EMT A130 and meet FEST and State of Alaska requirements are eligible to test for the State of Alaska and National certification for EMT I.

Provides the EMT I with added skills of advanced airway, specialized tourniquets, and intravenous treatment. Students who complete EMT A230 and meet FEST and State of Alaska requirements are eligible to test for the State of Alaska EMT II certification.

Emphasizes knowledge and skills necessary to apply electrodes and monitor cardiac activity, defibrillate life-threatening arrhythmias, and administer specific pharmacological agents. Students who complete EMT A231 and meet FEST and State of Alaska requirements are eligible to test for the State of Alaska EMT III certification.
