A two-year registered apprenticeship program that includes paid on-the-job training, a 12-13 week Fire Academy, and paid tuition for required academy classes to obtain FF1 (Firefighter 1) and EMT certification. Apprentices receive on-the-job training with a Field Training Coach and work a 24-hour on, 72-hour off shift schedule.
