Emergency Medical Technician

Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

A 150-hour non-credit course offered in fall and spring that includes classroom, lab, prehospital field time (10 hours), and emergency department clinical time (10 hours). Students learn principles of emergency care, medical and traumatic emergencies, CPR, vital signs, patient handling, ambulance operation, and rescue techniques.
