It covers medical theories, prepares for various EMS roles, and complies with State and National Standards.

This one-semester program combines classroom lectures, practical skill laboratories, and patient clinical experience. Students will train to provide emergency care and prepare to take the National Registry Certification Examination and the Florida EMT Certification. A background check and application are required for program acceptance.

The Fire Academy provides comprehensive training to meet the Bureau of Fire Standards requirements. It includes live-fire training, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, and more. A minimum 70% grade is required to graduate, and upon completion, students can take the Florida Minimum Fire Standards Certification exam.
