This program, approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health, is designed to prepare students for a career as a paramedic. The Paramedic curriculum involves a total of 45 credit hours; 28 credit hours of didactic, 8 credit hours of lab, 4.5 credit hours of clinical experience and 4.5 credit hours of field experience. Graduates will be eligible to apply to take the Illinois Department of Public Health Paramedic licensure examination.
