AHA Basic Life Support Initial Course

The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. The course equips participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. These skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique.
