The Advanced EMT program is structured for certified EMTs seeking to elevate their qualifications. It combines nine months of self-paced, online didactic learning with hands-on skills practice, and extensive clinical rotations, fully preparing students for NREMT-AEMT certification.

If you are certified with NREMT, or a licensed EMT in the State of Texas, PERCOM will be honored to help earn your AEMT certification! Our AEMT course is designed from the ground up with working EMTs in mind, our program is fast, flexible, and fits into most schedules.
The Advanced EMT Program is a 3-part, 9-month maximum training regiment.
Part 1. Online Didactic – Each Advanced EMT student will have up to 5 months to complete the coursework and course final exam. All of this portion is provided online. Access online coursework 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Take your final exam from your personal computer at home or work.
Part 2. Skills Training/Testing – This portion of the program is live at one of our training facilities in Texas or Missouri(private sessions only). For AEMT, each student will have two 1-day practice sessions, and one 1-day testing session. Each session comes complete with a live instructor and potentially classmates.
Part 3. Clinical Internship – The last part of the Advanced EMT program is a minimum of 144 clinical hours that will be acquired working under the student capacity at hospitals and EMS agencies within PERCOMOnline’s clinical network.
Each Advanced EMT student will have up to 9 months to complete all 3 parts. Extensions may be available to those who need more than 9 months.
