A 10 credit hour course that trains students to perform patient assessment, initiate treatment, demonstrate proficiency in airway management, immobilization techniques, CPR/basic life support, perform blood glucose monitoring, and learn principles of documentation and communication in the EMS field. This is the training program needed for obtaining certification as an EMT.
