An 8-credit certificate program designed to prepare students for a fulfilling career as an EMT-B. In one semester, students gain hands-on training and classroom instruction aligned with the National EMS Education Standards, covering topics like CPR, cardiac emergencies, vital signs, ventilation techniques, pharmacology, patient resuscitation, trauma, fractures, and childbirth. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam.
