Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Main Campus

The EMT program at Northwest Florida State College trains students in basic life support and transportation of the sick and injured. It is a 10 credit hour, one semester program preparing candidates for Florida and National Registry EMT exams. Admission requirements include being at least 18 years old and holding a high school diploma or GED.

Firefighter I/II

Main Campus

The Firefighter Basic certificate program at Northwest Florida State College equips students with the skills to meet Florida's Firefighter I/II standards. Training covers operations during emergencies and non-emergencies, including hazardous materials and vehicle extrication. Graduates are eligible for the state certification examination upon all graduation requirements.

Paramedic

Main Campus

The Northwest Florida State College Paramedic Program prepares students to be knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate paramedics. The program is three semesters long, advancing students beyond EMT-Basic level and includes opportunities such as ACLS and PALS. Graduates are eligible for the Florida Paramedic certification and the National Registry examination.
