Designed to prepare attendees to work as an EMT and initiate life-saving emergency medical care. Training includes patient assessment, airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillation, basic medication administration, wound dressing, hemorrhage control, splinting, spinal immobilization, childbirth, lifting, moving, and extricating patients. Includes clinical experience in a hospital emergency department and/or ambulance service.
