Applied Science degree in Paramedicine offered in partnership with Coconino Community College. The program consists of 584 classroom hours (didactic) and 500 clinical/vehicular hours. Students work in Surgery, Intensive Care Units, Respiratory Therapy, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, and with approved paramedic-preceptors on ambulances and rescue units. Entry requires one year of field experience as an EMT and successful completion of a written entrance exam and practical skills evaluation. Upon completion and passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician's Paramedic examinations and ADHS/BEMS certification, graduates are eligible to practice as a Certified Paramedic in Arizona.
