The Emergency Medical Responder program consists of 190 clock hours and prepares students with the skills needed for immediate lifesaving care. EMRs provide critical care while awaiting additional EMS resources and assist higher-level personnel at emergency scenes. This course covers basic interventions under medical oversight, but does not certify graduates as EMTs, which requires further training.
