Comprehensive training program offered in partnership with Cape Fear Community College. Selected candidates undergo rigorous training at the First Responder Academy Firefighter Program, earning vital certifications including EMT certification and Firefighter I & II qualifications. Classes start each January and July. Upon successful completion, graduates are offered a full-time firefighter position with NHCFR.
