Mt. San Antonio College

Mt. San Antonio College offers an accredited Paramedic Academy and Emergency Medical Technician programs designed to prepare competent entry-level paramedics and EMTs for work on ambulances and in the fire service. Since 1987, the college has been providing quality paramedic training accredited by CAAHEP and approved by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency.

A short-term vocational program intended to prepare students to become EMTs to work for ambulance services or in related fire departments, hospitals, or rescue services. Includes 200+ hours of lecture, 100+ hours of skills lab, and 24+ hours of clinical internship.

A 16-week intensive didactic program followed by 6 weeks of clinical internship in hospitals and 10-12 weeks of field externship. Requires current EMT certification with 1000 hours of field experience. Leads to Associate in Science degree or professional certificate.
