Michigan Tech EMS is a student-led, volunteer emergency medical service that provides free, reliable, and timely first medical response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the Michigan Tech community and visitors. The organization offers EMT training and CPR/First Aid courses certified through the American Heart Association.

A two-course sequence (EMT-1 and EMT-2) that prepares students to evaluate and treat medical and traumatic emergencies in pre-hospital and emergency situations. Students complete 184 classroom hours across both courses, along with a minimum of 40 clinical hours with Mercy EMS and Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

American Heart Association certified course providing training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, and automated external defibrillation. Available for Michigan Tech students, staff, and community members. Upon completion, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card.
