Entry-level firefighter program meeting minimum job performance requirements for career and volunteer firefighters under N.J.A.C. 5:73-4.3, using Jones & Bartlett Fundamentals of Firefighter Skills, New Jersey Edition (5th Edition). Includes required online coursework. Completers who pass the NJ Division of Fire Safety Firefighter 1 & 2 written exams receive academy certificates that can be submitted for NJDFS certification. Tuition: $475 for Mercer County Chief''s Association departments, $575 for all others. Applicants must belong to an emergency services agency. Max 25 students.
