NJDFS-approved Fire Instructor 1 curriculum using IFSTA Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, designed to NFPA 1041. Successful completion makes students eligible for the NJDFS Fire Instructor 1 certification exam at the academy. Textbook is provided. Prerequisites: NJ Firefighter 1 and at least 3 years as a certified Firefighter 1. Tuition: $225 in-county, $235 out of county. Max 16 students.
