During the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, students learn about human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, patient assessment techniques, management of common medical complaints, management of the trauma patient, administration of limited medications, and concerns for special patient populations. Course material is presented through lectures, simulation labs, and clinical rotations where students interact with patients.
