Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Medical Services Professions, available at LSC-CyFair, LSC-Montgomery, and LSC-North Harris. Provides educational and clinical background for certification/licensure at EMT-Basic and Paramedic levels.

Our Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program provides students with the skills necessary to respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving care. It covers the fundamentals of first aid, patient assessment, respiratory emergencies, and trauma management. The program ensures students are prepared to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam and start their career in the emergency medical field.

Prepares students as an Emergency Medical Technician with skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level. Covers anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, airway management, oxygen therapy, and treatment of bleeding, shock, cardiac arrest, and other medical emergencies.

This Paramedic program enhances the skills of EMTs, focusing on advanced life support procedures, pharmacology, and complex patient care. Students will gain practical experience in clinical settings and expand their knowledge of emergency response systems. Graduates will be eligible to pursue certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and take pivotal roles in critical care transport.

Prepares competent entry-level Paramedics in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains. Teaches anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, advanced airway management, intravenous therapy, cardiology, ECG interpretation, and pharmacology.
