An 8 credit hour course providing basic knowledge and skills for treatment and transport of the sick or injured. Students learn medical terminology, patient assessment, CPR, defibrillation, oxygen administration, airway management, and other life-saving skills. Successful completion qualifies students to take the National Registry Certification Exam for Basic EMT.
