Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Teaches the practice of emergency healthcare delivery to patients who become unexpectedly ill or injured. Students focus on the role and competencies of the prehospital care provider and gain hands-on training in real-world scenarios with four, 12-hour rides with Greenville County EMS services. Upon successful completion, students take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) cognitive examination and become certified as a South Carolina EMT.
