<cite index="48-2,48-4,48-5">The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is an entry-level emergency medical provider course that will prepare individuals for employment in a variety of pre-hospital, industrial and first responder settings. Our EMR course is designed for the working professional and is an Online/Blended course that consists of online or at home coursework (48 hours) and two mandatory on campus lab practice experiences (16 hours). This course is designed to provide participants with the basic knowledge and skills to manage several medical and trauma-related emergencies.</cite>

<cite index="42-1,42-2">The 1,232 hour Paramedic course includes patient assessment, advanced airway management, oxygen therapy, intravenous therapy, cardiology, pharmacology, and reinforces basic EMT skills (anatomy and physiology is a pre-requisite). The Paramedic Course at Gordon Cooper Technology Center is designed for adult students currently certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and interested in becoming a Nationally Certified Paramedic.</cite>
