George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute (GEM-EMI)
A hospital-based training center accredited to teach American Heart Association certification courses, pre-hospital education including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification program, Co-AEMSP-accredited paramedic programs, and trauma education for physicians and nurses. Founded in 1976 by Dr. George E. Moerkirk, the institute trains more than 10,000 students annually.
