16-hour, two-day course addressing assessment and management of common medical crises. Offered by NAEMT and sponsored by Gaston College Department for EMS Education. Recommended for experienced providers and instructors.

CAAHEP-accredited Associate of Applied Science degree program preparing competent entry-level Paramedics in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains. Includes exit points at AEMT and EMT levels. 100% pass rate on NREMT Paramedic/State Cognitive exam and 100% positive placement rate.

Degree completion track allowing certified non-degree Paramedics to achieve an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Science. Majority of coursework is online with some required on-campus work. Requires current NC Paramedic certification and 1,000 hours direct patient contact.

245-hour course following National EMS Education Standards. Includes classroom instruction, psychomotor skills competency, driver training and affective behavior training. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for state and national written examinations.
