A 165-hour state-approved Emergency Medical Technician course that meets the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards. Students learn responsibilities of the EMT during each phase of an ambulance run, patient assessment, emergency medical conditions, appropriate emergency care, and procedures for transporting patients. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Exam and become state certified to practice pre-hospital medicine with an ambulance service.
