A course designed to provide rescuers with the emergency medical knowledge and skills necessary to care for the sick and injured in a pre-hospital setting. Curriculum consists of 172 hours of classroom instruction and laboratory exercises, 36 ambulance hours, 12 emergency department hours and four hours in a 911 dispatch center. Students successfully completing this course are eligible to take the NREMT cognitive and psychomotor exams.
