A one-semester program (EMED-110) with 2 evenings per week plus 3 mandatory Saturdays. Includes hands-on training with real equipment, simulators, ride-along component with first responders, and comprehensive simulation exam preparation.

The EMT program at Contra Costa College enables students to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians in just one semester. This hands-on training includes the use of advanced tools, simulators, and a college-owned ambulance for real-world experience. The curriculum covers monitoring vital signs, CPR, and managing emergency situations, with an included ride-along component to meet local first responders and prepare for the national registry exam.

A competency-based, 16-month, two-day per-week program including at least 1,290 hours of lecture, lab, clinical, and field internship content. Graduates earn 31+ units of college credit and a Certificate of Achievement in Paramedic Studies.
