College of the Canyons offers a Certificate of Specialization in Emergency Medical Technician that prepares students for certification and employment as an EMT-Basic. The program meets U.S. Department of Transportation National EMS Education Standards and is approved by Los Angeles County EMS Agency, State of California, and the National Registry of EMTs.
