Advanced EMTs assess and provide advanced emergency medical care including airway management, intravenous access, and medication administration to patients at the scene of a medical emergency and during transport to medical facilities. The AEMT course is approximately 300 hours and consists of lectures, labs, online course work, 48 hours of Hospital Clinical time and 48 hours of EMS Field time.
