The College of Charleston's Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services offers a 200-hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program that prepares candidates to provide basic emergency medical care. The program follows and exceeds the 2009 US Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration EMT National Standard Curriculum.
