Designed to produce competent entry-level Advanced EMTs who can provide treatment to the community in emergency situations. Advanced EMTs assess urgent patient needs and stabilize conditions until definitive care is received. Treatment includes advanced life support, advanced patient assessment, airway management, pharmacological interventions, and critical decision making. Approximately 268 hours over 3 months.

Through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice, covers all aspects of the EMD job. Upon successful completion, students are qualified to test for credentialing as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher.
