The Fire Cadet Academy is a 20-week structured training program for entry-level firefighters that ensures cadets are physically and mentally capable of performing the job of a Firefighter/EMT. Upon completion, cadets become IFSAC certified Firefighters and EMT-B certified through the State of New Mexico, with additional training in hazardous materials operations, basic wildland firefighting skills, and technical rescue operations.
