Carnegie Mellon University Emergency Medical Service (CMU EMS)

CMU EMS is an all-volunteer, 100% student-run quick response service that provides professional-level medical treatment for emergencies on the Carnegie Mellon campus. In conjunction with a local state-registered training agency, CMU EMS offers an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course during the second half of the fall semester.

Pennsylvania Department of Health certified course that combines lecture, skill demonstration, and skill practice to provide well-rounded education. Offered during the second half of the fall semester (Mini-2). Successful completion and National Registry examinations merit NREMT certification for three years.
