This program consists of one course and approximately 250 hours of instruction. Students attend four 12-hour shifts, one in the emergency department and three in the field. The class provides prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the North Carolina credentialing exam.
